A visit to a school with lots of energy and cool history

Superintendent Blanchard and Senator Seward

A visit by New York State Senator James L. Seward (above left, with Superintendent Blanchard) to Schoharie Central on Sept. 21 included the famous bench once used by artist Normal Rockwell.

Schoharie Elementary Principal Andrea Polikoski toured the senator through the classrooms and hallways where pre-K to grade 6 students learn and grow.

High School Librarian Marion Burghart showed Senator Seward some of the ways students access a world of knowledge in a modern library.

High School Principal Kevin Calacone shows the senator a signature wall from the Class of 2006. Schoharie alumni often return to their high school to share experiences and advice with younger students.
