Resources to help children cope

Tragedy affects individuals in different ways. Following the school shooting in Florida and in view of the 24-hour news cycle in our world, SCS would like to provide a few resources from our Parent Today enewsletter.

As always, school staff are available to support our students when needed.

Drills are also an important part of preparing for emergencies, including fire drills, lockdown drills and go-home-early drills. Practicing is key. A set number of drills is required by the state, and drills are held throughout the year, not announced ahead of time and coordinated with local fire, emergency and law enforcement agencies.
