How planes fly and why they crash

Mr. Burghart teaches classroom of students about planes

How do planes fly, and why do they crash? On May 1, Schoharie Jr. High students learned that and more at a Science Technology Engineering Arts & Math (STEAM) Cafe at their school.

Guest presenters Jim Burghart and the Schoharie Valley Crop Dusters RC Club taught the students about basic aerodynamics. They and the students then went outside to observe club members fly model airplanes above the school's the front lawn.

The STEAM Cafe was hosted by the school's STEAM Committee.
