Schoharie Central School District provides the School News Notifier
(SNN) messaging system to keep
parents, guardians and the community at-large in touch with what is happening at
our schools. SCS uses SNN to send updates and reminders about
district activities and information
regarding emergency school closings and delays.
SNN is an opt-in e-mail and cell phone alert* system for which parents,
guardians, community residents
and staff members can sign up to receive e-mail alerts from the
district. (* Please note that cell phone text messages are only sent
in the event of school closings, delays or other urgent matters.)
Users can choose to
receive some or all of the alerts, and they can unsubscribe at any
time. Users e-mail addresses and personal information are kept
To sign up, simply click on the SNN icon (at left -
a link to
https://snn.neric.org/schoharie) and create a profile. You
will be asked to fill in your name and e-mail address and to
select a password. Once you have created your profile, you will be
asked to select which alerts you would like to receive. After you
have chosen your alerts and clicked "subscribe" you will be all set!
If you wish to change your selected alerts, you may do so by
logging in to the system and updating your profile at any time.
you decide that you no longer want to receive ANY updates from
Schoharie's SNN system, it is easy to unsubscribe. When you visit
the SNN home page, there is an "unsubscribe" link on the right hand
navigational rail. Click on it, fill in the form and you're done!
