Schoharie Students Shine at Choral Festival

A choir sings on stage.Ten Schoharie students were selected to participate in the Albany Pro Musica High School Choral Festival culminating with a performance at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall on Saturday, February 1st. Students from around the Capital Region prepared music under the direction of Elizabeth (Liz) Eschen Cacciola, Director of the Holden Voice Program at Harvard University. The concert program featured the works of many female composers.

Three of the students, Sean Harrington, Ryan Snyder and Sophia Watson, auditioned and were selected to be in the festival’s Honor Choir, giving them the opportunity to perform at the concert under the direction of APM’s prestigious conductor, José Daniel Flores-Caraballo.

Seniors Sean Harrington and Ryan Snyder are APM interns and have been performing as members of Albany Pro Musica all year long.
