18 Students selected for Zone 8 Area All-State

Congratulations to the 18 Schoharie high school musicians who were chosen to participate in the Zone 8 Area All-State Conference! Acceptance to Area-All State is based on a student’s spring New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) solo score. Qualifying to participate in this festival is an impressive accomplishment.

Students join other outstanding musicians from districts throughout our region of New York spanning as far as Oneida to Norwich and everywhere in between. High school students from these districts spend all afternoon and evening on a Friday and all day on Saturday rehearsing for their Saturday afternoon performance under the direction of some outstanding conductors. The performance will be on Saturday, November 18th at Walton CSD.
