Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Halloween Parade for students in Pre-K through Grade 5 will take place on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 9 a.m. Please read all of the information below carefully so that we can assure this is a safe and fun event for all.
The parade route will begin at the kindergarten doors and the students will parade outside around the playground and back into the building at the end of the third grade hallway. Spectators may gather on the playground blacktop and in the fields around the playground.
If there is a forecast of inclement weather and we have to cancel the parade we will notify families via Messenger the evening before.
Classroom teachers will be sending home information about any activities they may have planned.
In the interest of safety and to ensure everyone has a fun-filled time:
-
Please send your child to school in their costume with a change of clothes for after the parade.
-
Please do not allow your child to include any masks, weapons or blood in his/her costume.
-
Adults are asked to refrain from wearing masks or disguising their faces.
-
If you are transporting your student, please follow the normal procedure for morning drop off and then proceed to park your car. The bus line up area and drop off zone must be clear of vehicles.
-
If your child does not participate in Halloween, there will be alternate activities available in the library.
Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to the event.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Polikoski
Elementary Principal
