Schoharie CSD has scheduled its April 22, 2020 Board Regular Meeting at 7 p.m. to be held remotely via Webex.
The meeting is being held to remotely to be in compliance with New York on Pause social distancing and will also meet the standards of Gov. Cuomo’s most recent executive order pertaining to the Open Meetings Law.
The public will be able to follow the proceedings through audio by accessing Webex via a computer, tablet or phone. In addition, a recording of the meetings will be transcribed and made available to the public at a later time, along with the minutes from the meeting.
Any executive session periods of the meeting will not be accessible through Webex, just as those periods would be closed to the public during a regular school board meeting. Although New York State Law does not require that a school board hold a public comment period, even when meetings are held as normal, Schoharie CSD is committed to transparency and exceeding what is legally required in order to ensure your concerns are heard.
Instead of a traditional public comment period, the board will be taking your public comments at the following email address: dcardella@schoharieschools.org
Comments received from now until 4 p.m., April 22, will be read into the record so they are an official component of that night’s board meeting.
