Board of Education Goals
“In all that we do, we will keep our focus on doing what is good for children as our highest priority.” The Schoharie Central School District Board of Education sets goals for each school year. Such goals also address parent engagement, professional development, district leadership and maintaining financial sensitivity to the needs of property owners along with fiscal excellence and stability.
Board Meetings
All Schoharie Central School Board of Education meetings are open to the public, except during executive sessions. Board meetings are convened for the purpose of conducting public business relating to the school. Meetings are announced on the district website, on BoardDocs.com and the local newspaper. Agendas are posted in both the Elementary School and Jr./Sr. High School main offices and our BoardDocs.com page.
Individuals or groups wishing to bring a matter to the attention of the board are encouraged to contact the Superintendent of Schools prior to a meeting. The superintendent will inform the Clerk of the Board and the Board President of your interest in speaking with them during Privilege of the Floor.
Interested community members are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings. Generally, board meetings are held in the Jr./Sr. High School conference room or Elementary cafeteria. School board meetings open at 6 p.m. and adjourn for an executive session; public session begins at approximately 7 p.m., unless otherwise noted

On the third Tuesday of each May, residents from across New York State go to the polls to elect members of the Board of Education. The Schoharie Board of Education has seven members who serve three-year terms. New terms begin on July 1 and end on June 30.
