Board of Education

“In all that we do, we will keep our focus on doing what is good for children as our highest priority.”

The Board is comprised of seven residents who serve overlapping, unpaid terms of three years each. Together, they establish district policies, approve an annual budget proposal, approve or disapprove the superintendent’s recommendations on personnel matters and contracts, review courses of study and textbooks, and act as a communication link between residents and the school district.

Interested community members are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings. Generally, Board meetings are held in the Jr./Sr. High School conference room or Elementary cafeteria. School board meetings open at 6 p.m. and adjourn for an executive session; public session begins at approximately 7 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
