It’s always good to have a buddy…and at Schoharie Elementary our fifth graders are teaming up with our pre-k students on our “buddy classes!” The older students act as mentors and help with projects such as “applecanos” and learning about how air is “something” even though we can’t see it.

In collaboration with the Schoharie EPTSO, the Elementary Backpack Program received a generous donation from the Sterling Insurance Company Foundation to purchase new backpacks. These bags are used by participating students to discreetly transport food on weekends and extended breaks.
