Schoharie High School seniors Alexia DiNuzzo and Michael Teeter have been selected to perform in the Melodies of Christmas Dec. 14-17 at Proctors in Schenectady.
“Michael and Alexia successfully auditioned for the Melodies of Christmas, and they have been rehearsing weekly for the past few months in preparation for the event,” said music teacher Carrie Styles.
Both students sing in the Select Choir and High School Choir at Schoharie.
Melodies of Christmas is a collaboration between the Empire State Youth Orchestra and Youth Chorale, with special guests the Joey Thomas Big Band, Northeast Ballet and Orlando’s School of Dance.
Melodies of Christmas proceeds will benefit the Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center.
Tickets can be purchased through Proctors. Performances will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14-16, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17.
