Congratulations to five Schoharie student vocalists who were selected to participate in this year’s ESYO Melodies Chorale! Braeden Beck, Teyah Mason, Ryan Snyder, Sophia Styles and Sophia Watson will be representing Schoharie this season. At the audition students had to perform excerpts from two choral works and had to perform a sight reading selection.
The ESYO Melodies Chorale combines with the Empire State Youth Orchestra to put on “Melodies of Christmas” at Proctors. Students in grades 10-12 from all over the Capital Region auditioned for the chorale. Performances at Proctors will be December 15-18th.
Melodies of Christmas is a fundraiser for Albany Medical Center’s Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders. This tradition has raised more than 9.4 million dollars for the Melodies Center.
