Schoharie Jr./Sr. High School serves students in grades 6 to 12 with a focus on preparing students to meet New York State Regents graduation requirements and pursue a successful future. We offer a comprehensive educational program and a wealth of opportunities for student engagement including clubs, sports and community service activities in a small school atmosphere with a caring faculty and staff.
Mission Statement
Learning is the mission of Schoharie Central School. The successful completion of this mission depends on the sincere efforts of all those involved in the educational process: students, staff, family and
community. With an emphasis on the value of acquiring and using knowledge for the betterment of both the individual and society, students should graduate as self-confident, conscientious, contributing
individuals who will continue as life-long learners.
Safety drills are routine and important
Fire drills, lockdown drills, go-home-early drills: all are a routine but important part of keeping students and staff prepared and our school safe. Practicing for emergencies is key. A set number of drills is required by the state, and drills are held throughout the year, not announced ahead of time and coordinated with local fire, emergency and law enforcement agencies.
