Children who will be five years old on or before Dec. 1, 2019 and live in the Schoharie Central School District are eligible for kindergarten.
Screenings will be held April 16 and 17 at Schoharie Elementary School for all students entering kindergarten in September, whether or not they were enrolled in pre-kindergarten. Visitations and registration of students who are new to Schoharie Central School District will be held April 17.
Community members are asked to please pass the word along to neighbors, friends and those new to the district that they should contact the elementary school if they have a prospective kindergarten student for the 2019-20 school year.
Parents/guardians will receive a letter in the middle of March explaining the kindergarten readiness screening process and information regarding appointment times.
