Music Students Attend Albany Symphony Orchestra Performance

Music students in grades 8-12 enjoyed a trip to watch the Albany Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, March 8. This trip was graciously sponsored by Vesna Lovsin and Sal Medak, members of our community who are passionate about the arts. Students arrived at the theater early to have a discussion with the guest conductor, Lidiya Yankovskaya, who went to Guilderland High School. She shared her experiences growing up in the Capital Region and talked about each of the pieces that would be performed that evening. The orchestra performed works by Missy Mazzoli, Samuel Barber and Antonín Dvořák.

Thank you again to our wonderful donors for kicking off March, which is Music in Our Schools Month, with this great experience for our students!
