Schoharie Central School is proud to announce that Brianna Smith was selected because of her vocal musical excellence to perform in the NYSSMA All-State Festival this year.
This festival is usually held in Rochester, New York but because of the pandemic it has been moved to a virtual concert format. Brianna, a Schoharie senior, was chosen because of her outstanding score and adjudication for her vocal solo at a spring NYSSMA festival in Norwich.
Thousands of students perform at NYSSMA festivals across New York State and a very small percentage are selected to participate in the All-State conference. Brianna was chosen to sing as a Soprano 2 in the Mixed Chorus.
Alyvia Fagnani, a senior at Schoharie was selected as an Alternate for potential membership in an All-State ensemble. Alyvia was also chosen because of her outstanding score and adjudication at a spring NYSSMA festival in Norwich. If Alyvia is selected to participate she will be singing Alto 1.
We are very proud of Brianna and Alyvia and their prestigious accomplishments!
