Don’t be afraid of the big yellow bus!
Schoharie CSD is hosting a school bus test drive event at the school on Wednesday, July 10, from 5 to 7 p.m.
School buses are easier to drive than you might think. They are also among the safest vehicles on the road.
Schoharie CSD is always looking for new bus drivers. Driving a school bus is a great option for parents who need to have holidays and school vacations off.
We invite area residents ages 21 and over to take a test drive in a Schoharie school bus. We’ll have a course set up on the school campus so you can experience what it’s like to drive a bus in a controlled environment and with the assistance of our experienced drivers. We will have pizza and beverages for attendees. You do not need a CDL (commercial driver’s license) to test drive a bus or apply for a bus driver position. The district will help prospective drivers get their CDL.
We will also have information on the various benefits school bus drivers are eligible for.
